Dear Taekwondo Friends,
Please download below the results from last weekends UTA (GB) Open Poomsae Championships 2009 hosted by Milton Keynes UTA Taekwondo.
This year was the first year the event was held in Milton Keynes and on behalf of the organising committee we would like to thank all the competitors and their teams for participating at the event. It was great to see so many talented athletes in attendance to demonstrate their skills as well as being excited at the amount of exceptional talent which is starting to come through the ranks as Poomsae continues to develop in this country - congratulations to all the winners and medallists!
We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to all the judges, officials and volunteers who assisted us in running such a smooth event as without your hardwork and dedication the event would not have been such a success. We would lalso ike to extend our thanks to our friends from Southern and Northen Ireland as well as Switzerland and Sri Lanka who made to journey across to be with us. Thanks also go to Master Shin as Poomsae Judges Director for the competition as well as Master Derek Sumner and the BTCB Poomsae Committee for their support of the event.

The 2009 UTA (GB) Open Poomsae Championships will this year be hosted by Milton Keynes UTA Taekwondo Academy. It promises to be a high level event under the supervision of the UTA Championships committee and fully supported by BTCB UK Poomsae.
This is the 3rd successive year of the tournament and in previous years has attracted high level competition from around the world including Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, Greece and the USA as well as National Team members from Great Britain.

Please note this change in venue this year with the 2009 UTA (GB) Open taking place at Stantonbury Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes. The venue is very modern and has a wide range of facilities included a large swimming pool for which we have organised heavily discounted swimming for all players who want to relax before and after the event.
